Drone Piloting Research

We are working with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to understand how different levels of autonomy in the systems we use should impact the skills and knowledge needed to operate these systems. To investigate this issue, a human subject experiment was conducted by the Humans and Autonomy Lab at Duke University to test the impact of different forms of training on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) piloting. This site documents the experimental goals and methods used in the data collection process.
